Naugle Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Jacksonville’s oldest funeral home serving four generations, recently opened a second location in historic Riverside, at 808 Margaret Street, to serve the Riverside, Avondale and Ortega neighborhoods.
“We’re excited to continue our family’s nearly 100-year tradition of providing personal, individualized attention. We look forward to serving the community at this convenient location,” said Cameron Naugle, president of Naugle Funeral Home & Cremation Services, who lives in Ortega Forest with his family.
The new location, Naugle Schnauss Funeral Home & Cremation Services, represents the union of the Naugle and Schnauss families.
Cameron Naugle is working in partnership with his wife, Katherine Schnauss Naugle, an elder law attorney who operates a law office next to the new location. Katherine’s brother, Roy Schnauss, is the operations manager. Her father, Roy Harris Schnauss, M.D., assists with management. Cameron Naugle is the funeral director and president and Cameron’s father, Paul, is the senior funeral director with 50 years of experience.
“It’s personal for us,” said Paul Naugle. “People come to us during one of the most difficult times in their lives and it’s our privilege to help them through it. Making the experience as comfortable as possible and showing kindness while taking the time to listen to families and be involved in every aspect of planning is the Naugle tradition.” The tradition was established by Paul’s grandparents, Vernon and Stella, when they opened Naugle Funeral Home in San Marco almost 100 years ago.
Naugle Funeral Home & Cremation Services is family owned and operated. It is a full service home that offers pre-planning, cremations, military burials for Veterans, religious services of all faiths, non-religious services, customized “celebrating a life” memorial services, burials and honors special requests.
Naugle Funeral Home & Cremation Services is Jacksonville’s oldest funeral home that is family owned and operated. The owners are deeply connected to the community they serve. Since 1919, it has provided compassionate care with trustworthy, personal service to four generations of families of all faiths.
