Funeral, Memorial, and Celebrating a Life

If you are planning a funeral memorial or celebration of life, it is best to look at the big picture before diving into the details. In the very early stages of planning, you have two top priorities: get the word out and establish a basic layout for the service. Here you will find information to help you with both.
Getting the word out

In most cases, friends and family can start a call chain. During each call, the person receiving the call is asked to call another group of people and offers to call again when the details have been finalized.

The Heart2Soul Community is a free, online community designed to help communicate details regarding end of life celebrations to family members, friends, colleagues and distant contacts all across the globe. Family members and guests who sign in to the community can sign up for email alerts to receive up-to-date service information.

Planning the service

Planning the service and determining the length of each part will prevent things from dragging on. Very young and very elderly participants find it difficult to remain comfortably seated for much more than an hour. A service that lasts for thirty minutes is sufficient, while one that lasts significantly longer than an hour is too long.
