Elmon Pedro Teixeira, age 82, died on June 21, 2016, in Jacksonville, Florida. A native of Brazil, he was raised in Rio de Janeiro. Elmon began his career as a mechanical engineer in the cement industry in Brazil. In his later years, he worked internationally as an industrial minerals consultant. Elmon was fluent in several languages and was at home in many diverse cultures. He is survived by his wife Claire, his children Roberto, Mark, Lynn and Anne and their spouses. Elmon found peace during his long battle with Frontotemporal Dementia by surrounding himself with his grandchildren Emilio, Anthony, Daniella, Gabriel, Isabel and Olivia.
